International Double Degree Program


International Double Degree Program (IDDP) was formed in 1999 as a section of aerospace engineering department. The course aims to produce graduates with quality skills in both Aerospace Engineering and Business Adminstration who will be able to function effectively in multidisciplinary teams to meet the ever changing needs of sophicicated technology-based industries.


The Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Aviation Management : International Double Degree Program is run jointly by cooperation between Kasetsart University (KU) and the Royal Melbourne institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia. This RMIT double degree program in Aerospace Engineering and Business Administration has been developed specifically to meet the current and future demands of industry in general and the Aerospace sector in particular.


The course aims to produce graduates with high quality skills in both Aerospace Engineering and Business Administration who will be able to function effectively in multidisciplinary teams to meet the ever changing needs of sophisticated technology - based industries. The students on this course will study an intensive program over a period of 5.5 years. Half of the course work is taught at KU while the other half at RMIT. The Faculties of Engineering & the Faculties of Business administration at KU and RMIT mainly provide the academic teaching. The two universities are proud to offer this international version of the double degree program. Each university will be able to contribute its own special strengths and expertise to create a distinct and exciting program that is particularly relevant to the needs of Thailand and Southeast Asia.


The advanced technology field of Aerospace Engineering is concerned with the analysis, design and operation of sophisticated aerospace hardware and software systems. Imagination, innovation, communication and technological sophistication are all attributes of aerospace engineers. Students will study Engineering science subjects, through which the individual develops appropriate fundamental principles and analytical skills; and engineering practice subjects, through which the individual develops fundamental engineering techniques.
